OVER 3 DECADES OF COURTROOM EXPERIENCE

A Personal Message from Judge Audra Eckerle

It is my honor to serve you as a Judge in Jefferson Circuit Court, Division 7, over which I have presided since election in 2007. My colleagues on the bench elected me as Chief Regional Circuit Judge from 2012 to 2013. Circuit Court handles the most serious felony crimes, including murder, rape, and robbery. I also have civil litigation where large sums of money are involved such as medical malpractice and automobile accidents.

Prior to being elected as a Circuit Court Judge, I was appointed and elected as a District Court Judge, where I served four years. My colleagues there also unanimously elected me as a Chief Regional District Judge during that time. District Court address misdemeanor crime, traffic, and juvenile cases, as well as smaller civil ligation.

Prior to my service on the bench, I practiced law for over 12 years. I had varied civil and criminal practice, including serving as General Counsel for a publicly-traded, national assisted living company, as an attorney at both large and medium-sized civil firms, and as an assistant county attorney. I represented men, women, children, and seniors seeking justice from our Court system. As a lawyer and Judge, I have listened patiently and acted promptly. I treat each person with dignity, respect, and impartiality. I know the law, and I apply it fairly. My rulings are clear and issued without delay.

With your support, I will be elected in 2022 as Judge on the Court of Appeals, where I will continue to work tirelessly to give you justice in a timely and professional manner. I humbly ask for your vote. Thank you for your consideration and the opportunity to serve.
